The essential part in Design

C Venues

C Venues

Head site management, Project manager, Production carpenter and Technical manager

For 6 years I have worked for a theater company called ‘C Venues’ during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Starting as a venue technician I quickly progressed to become one of the core management team in charge of the construction, technical and production issues, company carpentry/ training and the day to day management and running of multiple venues.

My Last couple of years my role was to advised the building managers over 7 locations on how to run and construct there venues and multiple theaters, This forced me to wear many different hats as problems arose in order to turn empty spaces into fully functioning professional theaters and bars. Furthermore as the one of the production carpenters I designed, planned and constructed solutions for various problems on site.

My proudest work with the company has to be becoming the ‘Urban Garden’ Head Site manager which at the time was Edinburgh’s biggest outdoor bar and events venue. With over 50 people working under me at a time I relished the diverse challenges from the initial build and running, all the way until we had to tear it all apart again.

Here are just a few examples of the venues that I managed and constructed from build to finish.
